How it works
Choose who it’s for and what you’d like to understand. We’ll show you each step, what we’ll ask of you, and what it costs.

Who is it for?
What would you like to understand?
Not sure yet? The screening questionnaires look at both.

The intake form and screening questionnaires are free.
You can refer yourself directly, no GP referral is needed. Start a short online form telling us a little about you and what you’re hoping to understand. We’ll review it and be in touch to arrange the next step.
The first question checks whether you need urgent help right now, so we can point you to it.

A secure online form about your history, development and what you’d like to understand. There’s no charge for this step.
It saves as you go. You can stop at any point and pick up where you left off.
A few short questionnaires, also free. They look at both autism and ADHD, whichever you were referred for, because the two often occur together.
If you’d prefer, a clinician can go through them with you by phone for an additional £50.
Once the screening is back, your psychologist phones you to talk through the results and the options, including which assessment would help most.
After the phone call review, you and your clinician decide together whether a full assessment is right for you. If it is, these steps open up.
If you decide to go ahead, we’ll ask for a £300 deposit, which unlocks the main questionnaires. It is taken off the total, and the balance is due before your assessment appointment.
Paying
Recognised, validated questionnaires, completed online at your own pace.
What we’ll ask of you
Someone who knows you well completes a short questionnaire through a secure link. It helps most if they knew you as a child, such as a parent or older relative, but a partner or close friend is also useful.
What we’ll ask of you
An in-depth clinical interview. Autism assessments also include a structured observation, usually by video, with a face-to-face session where it’s needed.
You can add it to your calendar, join the video call from your portal, and cancel it yourself up to 24 hours before.
What to have ready
Your assessment is reviewed by the clinical team, then we meet to explain the outcome and answer your questions.
A written report setting out the findings, the reasoning behind them, and practical recommendations.
Who sees it
Services & pricing
Each assessment is led by an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and tailored to your age and needs.
There are no hidden extras: the only additional charges are the optional ones listed above, and only if you choose them. You can cancel an appointment yourself in your portal up to 24 hours before it.
Your psychologists
We’re a small, specialist practice, so you’re assessed by experienced psychologists who take the time to understand you, not moved through a production line.

FAQs
No. You can refer yourself directly, there’s no need to see your GP first or to be on an NHS waiting list. If you’d like, we can share your outcome with your GP afterwards with your consent.
Usually within a month. Much of the time is spent waiting for questionnaires and reports from others, so returning these promptly keeps things moving. The portal shows where you are at every step.
We don’t prescribe medication. If medication might help, we’ll explain the options and how to access a prescribing service.
With your consent, it can be helpful to gather information from someone who knows you well, such as a partner or parent. For children and young people, we ask for information from school as a standard part of the assessment. If that isn’t possible, we’ll agree another way to understand how things are at school.
Not everyone who is assessed meets the criteria for autism or ADHD, and that’s a valid and useful outcome. You’ll still receive a clear formulation that helps explain your experiences and points towards support that may help.
